This is a poem that came out of the top of my head late at night! Seems like the nighttime helps me write better or something who knows :P! As always thank you for your time in viewing what I have to offer to the community! :D (Also!) Trying something new and asking for a critique (critique :P ) on this one o.o ... I would like to know what you think of the subject matter, If I capture what the title is going for, do I convey a meaning of how people can relate to one another through the expression of sorrow? Any other comments are welcomed if you want!

Edit-- I am surprised!!! I never thought this would get anywhere that it is now! But I want to thank you guys! As much as this achievement belongs to me it also belongs to you! Because I am just a random poet guy who wants to show his literature around so I thank you guys more than anything and I am truly grateful to be on the dA 24 hour popular tag along with you guys!

Ill get around to thanking you all when I get back on when I wake up! :D

Edit 2-- So... Saying thank you to each of you individually is taking a while ;w; even though I want to say it to everyone... Hmmm... I suppose I can say it here though! I know it isn't as personal but I want to thank each and everyone of you for the fav's and watches it really touches my heart! :D Sorry its not an individual thank you but at least it is the next best thing! ^_^

To weep is certainly a passionate act and has such been covered countless times by countless artists throughout history; however the fact does not render this piece irrelevant nor drab. Rather, this poem is, whilst rather simple, quite impactful and thoughtful, not to mention thought-provoking. Your ideas, at the start, seemed to me rather generalized, rather wide, however as I read on I was dazzled by how insightful the piece really. 'Deceased cry for the living'--wow! how very fresh, this idea. Surprised, was I, pleasantly, by how new and thoughtful this line was. Rather than the living weeping for the dead we have the dead pitying the living--the living, who must still suffer on this tumultuous earth. As well, I really liked how you tied it all into a pleasant, satisfying ending as you described all the 'different' types of people who are unified by the one simple, mournful act of crying. Are we all that different after all? Indeed, 'Crying' is a powerful, well-written piece that is worthy of much recognition. Great work!

Finally! Someone who understands. I always, ALWAYS, keep saying if you need to cry then cry. Nobody should ever be able to not let you. That's just wrong in so many different levels. You clearly understand that everyone and everything cries. Human, animal, living or dead etc. You have done beautifully writing this. Let it be heard to everyone to say cry. Cry all you need to. Never, EVER, hold the tears back. It will only cause more problems. Thank you for writing this. It is truly amazing. Again I say this; Cry all you need to. and don't ever hold the tears back.

Many would consider me to be a rather emotionless bastard, at least if lack of crying was part of the criteria. Of course, I wasn’t immune to it but lately I’ve found myself suppressing emotions.

For this free-verse poem here, rarely have I seen a work of so few words that expresses an incredible amount of perspective and thought. It is absolutely true, we are meant to shed some tears now and again. Very well-written and insightful, and I was curious about the line “Deceased cries for the living”.

As XenoPluto pointed out, that's quite a thought knowing those who have passed on have us in their hearts for living on this crazy, crazy planet.

A poetical piece well deserving of a place in my “Honorary Class” deviations, whatever that means to you. A very sombre subject matter that has been expressed in a very positive and clever way… Keep up the awesome work! :D

Aww thank you so much for saying that, it means a great deal to me, to see what people think about this poem and how it could relate to them or make them think about certain emotions ^_^. I very much appreciate what you said :)

If you can get through to an "emotionless bastard" like myself, you're most definitely on the right track with your work.

You're most welcome and please keep going, I look forward to more. :D

This is so true. I also try to get people to cry when they need to.

I agree with fantasylover100 's critique. I got harped on all the time in my younger years for "crying too much". This poem made me feel at least a little less guilty about how I was back then. Thank you very much! ^_^
